FYi as to why the shortened duration of the episode

Due to an unforeseen situation, the animation production team of "Swallowed Star" has made the following decision to ensure the broadcast of the animation as scheduled. We have decided to change the broadcast schedule as follows:

From next week, the 72nd episode (season two episode 46) of "Swallowed Star" (January 25) will be changed from 15 minutes (20 minutes total) to 10 minutes (15 minutes total) when the episode duration is to resume back to normal is yet to be determined.

We would like to express our deepest apologiese for this adjustment to the broadcast. Thank you for your long term support and understanding of the "Swallowed Star" animation. We thank you for your understanding and support, and we hope you will continue to enjoy the future. We wish you all a happy Chinese New Year.

It might be that the studio is struggling to cope with COVID and trying to maintain Soul land series and not to mention develop two other new series

Regardless of their reasons, I just hope their staff are well and healthy. I am sure the studio didnt make this decision lightly, as much as some pricks thinks it is all about money or whatever reasons their sick brain come up with. Personally I wish they could have gone on a hiatus like they did last year, but guess not. My guess is that they are busy trying to maintain the current Soul Land episodes and not to mention concurrently produce Soul Land 2 and Ghost Blade

I appreciate the info, and know whatever the situation they are facing most importantly, I hope everyone is in good health and safe their well being is the up most concern to halt production. Until they can start moving back in optimal speeds of production once again, they should take however much time they need to address it. Hopefully its nothing to major, like life threaten to anyone in the studio crew, I wish the best, and that everything works out for the better soon.

They took quite a while to release the 2nd season after the airing of the first one.

There should be, but at this stage with whatever is happening with the studio it is hard to say when

is there going to be an s3 of this donghua? And 10 minutes is very low. I also noticed they're doing the same for Soul land. Why they started to unleash Soul land 2 if there are other Series to handle? Anyways let's see what will they do in the future

Like I mentioned already in replying to Winner_Gaming, there will probably be another season after this one the novel is very long

They started development on Soul Land 2 and Ghost Blade a while back, they probably did not anticipate whatever situation that made them reduce their episodes duration, I am guess COVID

What a shame I really hope we get more seasons for this but I can see new projects holding it back plus covid surge

Jeezz shortened episodes with pointless patriotic montage for the second half. Pretty convenient that there's no powerful weapons or armour or anything of help in the apparent super ship... Rather than just saying he's to weak to use anything on the ship it just apparently doesn't exist lol ok.

I think I have seen it like once and it was not well received and I have never seen it since, so they just either don't put anything out or put out whats expected.
